A bathroom for the girls
Eight hundred children were sharing one bathroom. So a second one was built.
“Due to the major earthquake, our #1 priority are hygienic materials. With only 1 bathroom and 800 kids, we decided to rebuild a new bathroom specifically for girls.”
Supplies, ponchos, tarps and protein bars were donated across the DMV and carried over by hand. Then the bricks went up, and a door that had never existed was opened with a ribbon.
