Empowering the belief that you can bridge the gap in humanity.

Supporting cultural preservation, education and innovation in Nepal, and in the community that carries Nepal with it.

Serving the Nepalese-American community here, and spreading education back home.

Tender Hearts seeks to serve and uplift the Nepalese-American community in the greater D.C. metropolitan area, and to spread education in Nepal to those who don’t get the opportunity to learn. We believe every individual deserves access to essential support services and resources, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Materials for learning
Educational materials are typically outdated, inequitable and inaccessible. We work with school leaders, the schools themselves and our local DMV community to source books that are age appropriate, written in the language needed, and relevant to what is actually being taught.
Continuing education for teachers
We build bespoke continuing education programmes around the needs of teachers and their student communities, from training on new technology to new pedagogical methods, so classrooms stay engaging and successful.
Support for communities
Education happens inside a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school so that students have the support they need to do their best learning, and so families have somewhere to turn.
