Donations go to projects for schools in Nepal, and to the Nepalese-American community in the greater D.C. area.
Where it goes
Since 2017 the foundation has carried supplies from the DMV to Lalitpur by hand, and handed them over in person. That has not changed. Below are three of the twenty-five projects on record, each with its own page.
- Shoes and socks
- Grades one through five at Shree Harisiddhi Secondary School, fitted so that going to school stopped being a question.
- A second bathroom
- Eight hundred children were sharing one. After the earthquake, a second was built for the girls.
- Clean water
- A filter system, storage tanks, taps and a place to drink, built alongside the school's own staff.
Two ways to give
Both reach Nepal. Only one of them is a deduction on a US tax return, so the difference is stated on each rather than left for a donor to find out later.
